Gary is a graduate of the British School of Osteopathy in London. Since graduation he has had a wide and varied career both here and in his native country, New Zealand.
He specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of back, neck and joint pain. His treatment plan includes soft tissue articulation and manipulative techniques. Breathing mechanics, core stability activation and encouragement of flexibility are key areas of Gary’s treatment protocols.
He has a particular interest in the treatment and rehabilitation of work-related musculo-skeletal disorders. Stress-related conditions such as headaches, neck and back pain are corrected by addressing postural control, correction of respiratory pattern disorders and the key elements of abdominal function.
Over the years, he has treated many elite and Olympic sportsmen and women. Additionally to his osteopathic career, Gary has an avid interest in water sports – namely, surfing, windsurfing and sailing. He has been involved in the design and manufacture of top level surf club and surf racing boards. He is also actively involved in fitness coaching at his local rugby club where all his three sons are members. He has played and represented rugby at junior national level in his native New Zealand.
Charlotte Walker is an experienced osteopath, graduating in 1996 from the British College of Naturopathy and Osteopathy in North London.
Charlotte specialises in helping patients with persistent/long term pain and those recovering from injury following road traffic accidents or falls.
A fellow of the Sutherland Cranial College (www.ssco.ac) she has become a senior and highly regarded practitioner in her field.
Her treatments combine traditional manipulative osteopathic techniques and more subtle, gentle techniques, known as “cranial osteopathy”.
More recent training in the pioneering Somatic Experiencing for trauma release (www.seauk.org.uk) and SIRPA for chronic pain recovery (www.sirpa.org) have extended her skills to allow a deeper and fully holistic treatment approach.
Charlotte is recognised by Axa PPP, BUPA and other major insurance providers and registered with the General Osteopathic Council.
Fees Initial Consultation (1 hour) which includes a case history, physical examination and treatment, costs £85. Follow-up treatments (30 minutes) cost £65.
Alongside a master’s degree in Osteopathy, Jackie’s (she/ they) various academic qualifications
include a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science and a postgraduate Master’s degree in
Molecular Biology. This wide base of knowledge gives her an in depth and unique perspective of
the function, health and workings of our bodies.
Jackie has been extremely interested in movement from a young age. She has a background in
dance, gymnastics and fitness, which provides her great insight in treating professional and
amateur athletes, as well as non-athletic patients too. She has practiced yoga for more than a
decade, and currently enjoys training in calisthetics, aerial and tumbling.
She has a particular interest in Female Health, and has completed a postgrad diploma at the
prestigious Molinari Health Institute. She specialises in the care and treatment of women
through all stages of life, with her treatment involving a combination of manual therapy, lifestyle
medicine, patient education, self-empowerment and movement rehabilitation.
Jackie has also trained to offer the Perrin Technique, which is one of the modalities used to treat
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome / Myalgic Encephalitis ( CFS/ME) and Long-COVID.
Recognising that chronic illnesses require a multifactorial approach for recovery has also led her
to pursue a qualification with SIRPA UK in the field of chronic pain, and further learning with the
Institute of Functional Medicine.
I can’t recommend Broadgate chiropractors enough. My problem was explained and after a few sessions my back and leg pain was a thing of the past! Friendly staff and a convenient location near my work too!
I have no hesitation in recommending Dr Hollis and the team at the Broadgate Centre for anyone that has pain issues and have recommended friends and colleagues to use their services regularly over the years.
